I believe an AI robot will never be able to reproduce a William Bouguereau style painting. The hand-eye coordination is just too complex. And on top of that, it's a complete mystery [the process] as to how Bouguereau made his paintings. AI won't be able to figure it out because of the nature of Bouguereau's paintings, ie underpainting, layering and glazing. A lot of of the process is hidden from the eye. How can you teach an AI robot to paint a Bouguereau when the teacher doesn't exactly know how to do it... If you're talking about an AI recreating a painting digitally in a computer, that ain't art. It's a document created by an AI.
