Steven, sometimes in trying to be the poster boy of entrepreneurship you lose sight of the larger picture. Your purpose as a business owner, is not to destroy life to make a buck. You’re no longer a bootstrap business owner and should have a higher philosophy of life. Yes, the west need to compete with the likes of China etc when it comes to AI does not mean they should have free rein to destroy its own society (which many industries have done). How is it China could regulate and still win in so many areas where the West struggles? It has little to do with regulation as a whole but the type of regulation. Common sense is the highest intelligence there is which AI would never achieve but human ignore, so you need leaders who have common sense both in business and govt. And you need a public that births common sense whenever possible. And common sense in many forms is being discouraged.
