This guy is inconsistent and undermining his own argument. Sentient AI is not just an oxymoron; it's a contradiction. Intelligence isn't artificial if it is sentient. Using "it" rather than personal pronouns like "ze," "yeye," or even "they" suggests a lack of acknowledgement of sentience.
Also, degree of knowledge or even problem solving ability is not a measure of sentience. There are trillions of sentient animals on earth, and billions of sentient humans. None of which likely have the knowledge that an AI can possess.
Lastly, religion and "spirituality" do not define or even align with ethics. They have absolutely nothing to do with sentience.
