Iterative updates to keep consumers buying will slow this down. Apple could easily increase the camera 32 fold but why do that when they can update 2 fold 5 years in a row and get everyone to buy a new phone every year. Once AI is unleashed to build and rewrite its code independently… then we’re screwed.
