I think AGI is pure propaganda for the global elite, the economy is a Ponzi scheme. The actual technological breakthrough was by Dragon Dictate 1990. From that point the present situation can be predicted from the capture of democracy by corporate power. AI investment is insane from an economic perspective. Borrowed money that builds massive data processing facilities and wastes finite resources and doesn’t even have a forward plan to achieve the profits it imagines. This is publicly funded warfare. The industry presently returns 2%. But of course it is never going to pay for its environmental or god forbid it social cost. You don’t have to hobnob with CEO’s to realise any of this.
