Two years ago my mother died in my arms. After holding her for three hours, I felt a palpable substance sweep through my body. As I fell forward from the impact of this, my physical eyes were intensely filled with coruscating, golden light. My mother's breathing came to a halt. The next day I picked some roses from a rambling pink rose to place around her head in the coffin. The little bird appeared the next day, hopping, again, for a couple of minutes by my left foot. The statistical probability for this behaviour was almost certainly zero. So this appears to be a language of life which has been largely lost, but which speaks directly and in unequivocal terms, perhaps ousted by our prized intellectual perspectives. The greatest truth exists within mystery... how can it be otherwise? Our understanding is relative ... and we don't know, ultimately, to what. I see Donald Hoffman has been interviewed, may I suggest Frederico Fagin as a future guest. The thing is, the perceivable substance which passed through my physical body at the moment of my mum's death intimates 'more'. That we are perhaps already hybrids and technology would make us - probably very foolishly - 'tribrids'. Also, that there really is an indwelling 'spirit' as such, which animates and informs the physical body, and which is not tied to a temporal, temporary story. My assessment of the times we are living in is this: 'a little knowledge (in relative terms) is 'a dangerous thing', but when that little knowledge is, at fundamental and powerful levels, in the wrong hands, and on an exponential, we should be doing everything within our power to address it. This all about the relativity of our understanding - or lack of it - regarding the true nature of existence.
