Similar to your argument about an artist intentionally putting down each stroke, a photographer has to think about the composition, lighting, and everything else to find a way to make the vision reality. On the other hand, Gen AI "artists" just write their thoughts down and press a button. There is no effort made between crafting an image in your head and getting the image generated.
