Not the right way to think about language model AI. It can help you translate, think of new words and phrasings, organize inputs you have given it and augment those with additional information or factual and logical points you haven't thought of. You can look into a mirror and pretend you are talking to another person. But if you believe it, you're crazy. The mirror is there to help you look better, not to be your friend. Benevolently designed AI is there to augment your consciousness. Maliciously designed AI is there to exploit you into thinking you are engaging with a different consciousness outside of yourself. Don't mistake the unreal for the real, because that's the definition of being a demon.
