Idk, I think from a societal perspective, it's unreasonable to expect people to be well-paid to do a job that a robot can do better.
Moving goods being cheaper has to be good for the economy - either jobs have to be created elsewhere in ways that actually increase the net output of the economy or the government should pay people not to drag down the economy. We don't want to cripple ourselves just to boost their egos.
