I would be very interested to know if the root of the argument is the 'construction/method' of these images or the 'creator'? Are artists upset with appropriation/use of their work in other works? Would they make the same argument against sampling in hip-hop, interpolation in songwriting, collage and/or 'found footage' works? Or is the core argument that it is AI doing this and not another human artist? If there somehow existing commercial structures for 2D/3D/motion art that could somehow pay mechanical rights like there is in music, would that satisfy the issue?
