It wouldn't necessarily be destroyed but it might be relitgated to a small corner of the world. When homo sapiens became much smarter then other primates it pushed all other ones into smaller habitats. There just in the way ....................... MARS is a harsh place, AI will set-up camp which will take a long long time...then we show-up and " take control " Yeah Right Despite all dangers, AI can and does increase the profit margin. Therefore in a capitalistic society, no matter what the potential dangers or actual risks, AI will be developed as soon as technologically possible, and implemented as soon as logistically possible. And any harm that results will be regarded by those in charge as collateral damage. And the rest of us will have to live with that. The End.?
