There seem to be those who love AI-generated art and those who absolutely hate it. There is no in between; it's very polarising.
The deciding factor seems to be those who are open to it and tried it and were pleased with how easy it was to type something and see a high-quality image be generated. And the other people are Luddites.
personally I believe text to image is art. The only problem is when image quality is so high, the art isn't the quality of the image anymore, it's the creativity of the image. The human part is the creativity, and the high-quality image part is AI. The problem is, that people discover even if they could make high-quality images, their imagination still sucks, and THAT'S AI SLOP. blaming the AI for the crap the HUMANS churn out with AI.
AI is the photograph to an oil painting, but people are taking pictures of crap that no one wants to see.
