Fake. The gun dosen't recoil at all. A robot, no matter how strong, that is balancing its weight, would have to compensate for recoil, unless it weight something like tonnes. More, the gun stock would be making a terrible racket as tbe arm joint it is supported by is all hard surfaces.
This all forgoes the thing where Elon is so supposedly scared or the robot invasion of the world where he claimed the robots were intentionally designed to be too weak to overpower a human.
In any event, as special effects go, it was pretty good. The lighting wasn't terrible, although you should think about marring the surfaces with dust at least. There is zero chance they would stay that shiny for that long in such dusty surroundings. But it still came off overly well.
