As an artist, I don't really have a problem with an AI... when it's utilized properly. It's great for idea generation, character creation, and making reference images if you're using a high quality generator. Sometimes it's fun to put in a vague idea and see what happens - I've gotten a lot of cool character designs that way - or use a very specific prompt to help create a reference image for backgrounds. It's NOT a replacement for actual artists. It's a useful tool, but it's just that - a tool. The images it creates aren't "art" and frequently don't even have the correct number of fingers
