Neil is suppossed to be an intelligent man, however, he comes across as a "walking echo chamber". If he stated that has written about 10,000 lines of code and assumed he know computers, he could then understand how AI could get out of hand. Remember, all it takes is a interconnected virus, with its own algorithm to create other algorithms withn it itself and BOOM!
BTW, I am not a fan of gloom and doom, have been waiting for the world to end since the 60's and I am 63.
