Generative AI is heavily unethical at it's core. Let me explain: Generative AI is fundamentally flawed and unethical because it’s built on exploited human labor, including copyrighted works. Copyright is basically the right that the author or those who acquired the right, have to decide what is done with the author's work and what is not. By training artificial intelligence with that work without the author's consent, their rights are being violated. Those who use generative AI to enrich themselves are complicit in that violation of the author's rights. Furthermore, it's not just about copyright, some works are not copyrighted, yet it doesn't mean that other people have the right to use it however you want, because it's restricted from commercial use as it should be, only the author should have that right. Saying NO to Generative AI is also about respecting the authors, including authors of all kinds of works (i e. source code) and artworks like visual artists, writers, musicians, singers, actors, etc. Generative AI companies don't respect the human labor, not even the labor of their own employees, they are exploiting the work done by other people to make money for themselves and they give nothing in return to those who actually made it possible to train the AI models. They won't admit the truth, but now that you know, I give you the right to copy my comment and please spread the word.
