If AI is learning and transforming its training data, then the images belong to it. Any user who uses AI images are therefore stealing the AI's copyrighted works.
If AI is not learning and transforming data, then it is a tool, and AI companies stole copyrighted works to make that tool.
It doesn't matter if AI techbros argue if AI is a tool or if it's a learning machine - stealing copyrighted content will always occur at some point along the process
