I disagree with the whole "even when it's fully developed, you won't like it". Though currently AI is very expensive, an idealistic and fully developed model may be favoured for content creation because it's cheaper. Assuming you give the AI a prompt/script, then hiring actors and making a budget being more costly than providing AI a script and plot you like. Picture this, you're a working class guy, you work a 9-5, you make some money, but certainly not enough to produce a movie. You've reached out to movie producers with your script, but they're not interested, idk, budget, controversy, only God knows. AI then looks pretty appealing. The love for the prompt is there, and an idealistic, developed model of AI can bring that to light. From there, I don't find it far-fetched for AI to be able to produce something actually thought provoking. Problem is, it'd be like 1/1,000,000 and practically impossible to find. AI now isn't great. I don't think it's useless - i mean, your argument falls apart if you want, i don't know... a soulless corporate logo (funny the lengths we go through to make AI art valid). Twitter 'fixing' art by using AI is something else, though. AI is, in my opinion, better than someone who cannot do art for the life of them. But, it pales in comparison to what actual, experienced artists can do. The comparison isn't even close, and you've got to be blind to think it is. (p.s i'm an aspiring writer, and i feel a lot of these things in regards to AI and writing.) (p.p.s i think art is a form of expression. even if AI can mimic human art perfectly one day, humans will continue doing art to express themselves, and that expression may or may resonate with another human.)
