AI is good at simulating certain human behaviors that people think can only be produced by an intelligent person. But again, it's a simulation, not the real thing. Simulations are always missing something that makes them different than the thing they are simulating. The missing part can be a body or a material. But it can also be something that only exists within the human brain, like intelligence.
Believing AI is conscious is like watching TV thinking there are people literally inside of it.
