I think it's important to keep in mind that the true CUSTOMER for these AI companies is not the average American consumer. By and large, we neither need nor want this gimmick in our day to day lives.
No, the customers for these AI companies are VENTURE CAPITALISTS. These are the people with the deep pockets who are pouring billions of dollars into the AI bubble, betting that the world will find some kind of way to efficiently monetize it before the bubble pops. That's who the MARKET for AI is for. We're just bystanders in this whole interaction between cynical tech CEOs and megagiant investment firms. They don't care about us because we don't have any money.
