People don't dislike art because we can't make stuff that's as good as art, as oftentimes it's not hard to beat quality wise. what people dislike is how cheap it is. Why bother commissioning an artist and have them take time and effort into producing art when you can instead give a prompt to a generator that steals from real people in order to get something that looks passable instantly. A.I. artists don't usually defend art by saying it looks better. It's that it was produced faster, and as we all know, instant gratification is what consumers want the most and value more than anything, even genuine quality for the product, which also leads to both the consumers and the market to burn out super easily when you can just constantly get product instantly.
