I've said this for years.
Within 5-10 years deepfakes will be so common and so easily generated, you will not be able to trust anything you see on google. Someone could make a vid with PBD appearing to profess pro-terrorist views or slander various social or religious groups and it will look 99% indistinguishable from the real thing and will thus fool 99% of people who watch it. At that point YT and other major online media distribution/streaming sources of "factual" information will collapse.
People will have to go back to verifying facts the old fashioned way.
