What i'm surprised is how the solution hasn't been mentioned by anyone. The obvious hasn't been called out.
See none of these companies are cutting jobs because they aren't making money.. they are cutting jobs to reduce paying humans a salary and instead giving the jobs to AI. It's about making MORE and paying out LESS.
A junior isn't required as AI can do the job, a senior could oversee. The junior cannot work, learn and become a senior as the opportunity is taken away? In time, the senior at the role would go and a replacement needs to be made as well. You see the problem but also the solution? WHat companies need to do is invest the extra money they make, back to hiring juniors and allowing them to train and become the new seniors. This is a new way to do things but this change can work, you allow the juniors to exist, get paid but also get the experience to become seniors who will manage and use AI.
