Thank you so much for talking about how scary it is for international grad students in the US right now. It's been terrifying. Luckily I'm a domestic student and I've been trying to advocate for my friends because their social media is being tracked by USCIS and they are afraid to speak out for themselves. They can't travel home for their parents' funerals, they're afraid to report abusive behavior, and suddenly all the early career science jobs that were stable until this year are gone. One friend had a customer at his side job call ICE on him even though he's here legally. And you're the first person with authority I've heard comfirm visas were being taken for no reason, with just hours to leave the country. Thank you, thank you Karen Hao.
