AI can replace virtually anyone on the keyboard but the physicality of implication is where the real $$$ costs comes in. The cost of a chip is meniscal compared to parts needed in robotics. Any thing made on a chip generally will dramatically fall in price over time, but mechanical and high electrical power generally goes up in pricing. Robotics is expensive to implement and on-going maintenance costs is a variable. Robots are specialized machines, good largely for volume production and hazardous work. Low volume production can't justify the costs of robots. Low volume is like military products. Commercial and consumer can benefit from robotics for some type of products or sub products, parts and mineral processing, but not all. Here again volume is needed to justify costs.
