The reason people in support of AI are behaving in a heartless manner is because they've been fighting for the ability to make better AI systems for a while now and were even willing to fund a project with their own money to get back features that had been removed because of the outcry of anti-AI parties, and then kickstarter and patreon shut them down. Remember the outcry when tumblr started banning accounts and artwork for similar reasons?
I think if the pro-AI group wants to make advances in this argument, they're going to need to change from hounding artists with pointless emails and instead start going after SFW artists with NSFW commission requests. Maybe have a thing that emails each artist used in a prompt and asks if they're open to drawing or painting anime women or whatever. If they don't want AI making this stuff, should they be prepared to make it instead, if it's just about the money?
