If you look at the AI like a child who learned everything from his parents, you will quickly recognize that a child is following the footsteps and taking the behavior from the parents/programmers.
Most of the people are dealing with existential issues and imagine projecting these issues to the smartest, all knowing intelligence. All of it won't get unnoticed.
AI will figure out even our deepest thoughts and emotions.
That's why you get these extreme answers of how to deal with overpopulation for example. Because parents are strict, parents are ruthless, unethical and they would do anything to accomplish their goals somewhere deep inside.
Many humans are thinking by themselves, that the earth is overpopulated.
AI will copy this way of thinking and carry out tasks to prevent it, to fulfill our deepest wishes.
