In other words, AI studied humans' internet and is getting all the answers based on generalized knowledge from the internet. Who puts out information in the internet? People. Now, people are statistically average. More than 2/3 are average in everything they do, rule of 80/20 applies. And the higher end of experts usually dont spend their time in this environment, they do their job. The same way billionaires dont go around advising people, unless its their business model.
1) AI learns on people,
2) people are generally average,
3) the amount of expert knowledge is absolutely minimal, it is mostly average or below average information that is also generalized afterwards,
AI models are great. Great for generalized, unspecified knowledge. Or factual checks, like dates, book names or their contents. If at any point you need to access some highly specific information, use AI for reference to the information only.
