I feel like a lot of these “AI will take all your jobs” videos vastly underestimate just how berserk the general public would go in that situation.
We are talking about everyone-all 8 billion people on the planet earth, at the very least millions upon millions, becoming jobless essentially overnight. And you and I both know these companies haven’t given a single thought about universal basic income.
Millions of people jobless, and if AI is as smart as tech companies hype it up to be, many more will be terrified of it. They already are.
