As a heavy leftist hoping for the Star Trek future, I don't have any problems with ai and robots doing the work we don't want to do. I only worry about keeping a roof over my head. AI is a tool that can be used to empower people to follow their passions. We just need to decouple work from cost of living and purpose. Work should not define who we are as people.
