i remember sitting at table with a girl who was my friend and a few others. I was talking to her about how we both write. At that time i was writing the 0 draft of a book idea i've had for a while and she said she was too, so I showed her the over 100 page doc on my phone containing the current writing and some notes. She also gave me her phone and showed me what looked like a bunch of messy paragraphs and random sentences, no organization, no notes, tons of spelling errors, but I didn't judge her. She looked at it and started quickly scrolling through it and said "DAMN! you wrote all this yourself?" and I was like "I mean yeah obviously I write alone and don't have a co writer" and she deadass said "oh so none of its AI generated?" I literally wanted to throw her phone I asked what she meant. SHE LITERALLY STARTED GIGGLING AND SAYING THAT SHES JUST LAZY AND QUIRKY AND AI GENERATES SOME OF HER WRITING!!!! i wanted to punch her. I had been writing that 0 draft for months and she had probably AI generated half of that in a day and tried passing it off as a draft. It's just disgusting thinking of how much of myself I put into my art and projects and having to talk to someone to uses a computer to emulate that. She doesn't use AI anymore I don't think.
