The authors of this video might be interested in taking my “course”. My course is designed to try to overcome what I call our “old school” problems. The solutions to our old school problems are remarkably simple and it just so happens that they lend themselves to trying to solve our new school problem. Our new school problem is how best to try to make sure that AI is aligned with that which is in humans’ best long term interests. If the dictates of my course were to be followed by humans and AI it would set up a circumstance where the best possible outcome for humans would continuously be achieved. This is why it’s important that we as a species should be focusing our efforts on what I’ve come up with.
