Imma say this: as an artist I also get genuinely angry and furious when the topic of AI generated images comes up. I happen to be a fan artist outside of OC work.
I draw because I want to and I draw characters from media out of appreciation. I draw because I have fun drawing and everyone else feels the same way.
AI should be reserved for problems like finding a cure for cancer.
Those who find AI more convenient are disrespectful towards artists. This includes corporations who are mainly motivated to make profit and don't care about user needs.
