No, I don't think Persons should adapt to autonomous vehicles by wearing special gear or by using just certain crossings. Cars and their respective drivers have to be aware of their actual visibility range at all times. If it is zero, then your driving speed has to be zero. If it means you have to change your perspective to go on, then do that - for example with getting out of the car several times to look behind your car while parking. Looking for an equal for AV? Get a drone into the air for some moments in special situations or add public accessible support cameras for special points. Really not that hard with todays tech, isn't it? That would mean more complications and time to develop relyable AV driving? Yep, but do it. There is no excuse for not seeing a child sitting on a street or a drunk lurching on a street corner with dark clothes. You have to be able to take care of these, too or there will be no autonomous driving, period.
