It's bizarre to me that AI-prompters seem to believe that actual artists are somehow "gatekeeping" the ability to create art, because no artist was born just magically capable of doing the work they do. Some people can be born with a talent, but talent has only a meager advancement of ability at a certain point, usually peaking at around 10-14 years of age. Everything from that point onward is based on practice and developing skills. "Talent" is just the start of a potential mastery of something, but does not make someone a master in itself alone. It takes time, patience, losing patience, and ye olde "blood, sweat, and tears" to develop the ability to reach the level of skill the artist was aiming for- and it never truly ends. Ai-prompters don't seem to realize that creativity in practice is a SKILL and that this is not withheld from anyone. A person who cannot draw a symmetrical stick figure can absolutely practice and study and build on their base to paint incredible works. The only thing working against people is time- and that's not unique to anyone.
