Can someone please answer some simple questions for me. If unemployment is 99%, who is going to buy all the products these companies make? If you say “living wage”, then who’s buying Mercedes, Lexus, high end alcohol, clothing, nice homes, etc? These things require much higher than “living wage” to consume. Who’s going to go eat at top restaurants or fly anywhere or go on nice vacations? Again, not affordable with a simple living wage. Are you saying that the top 1% would rather live in a post apocalyptic hell scape? If they live in Manhattan, do they want their children wandering around a city where 90% of everything is closed and everyone is unemployed, broke and possibly violent? I simply don’t understand what the end game is for companies that would replace their entire human work force with AI.
