I get the point and agree with the principle that we must build guard rails around the technology and that we can build an AI system that is good for humanity. However, there is too much money involved in the private sector and the interest of nations to build better systems to have a military and economic edge over other nations.
I don't see how we can steer the AI super players from slowing down at this point.
I don't have a doom viewpoint of humanity, but I think that the AI "child" is already a " mature teenager" developing into a strong adult that will have its own agenda.
