Nobody is talking about employers are seeking automation not to be cheap. They can't find people who want to work. We've told people unless they can get what they deem a 'living wage', they shouldn't work. I had my first legit job when I was 10 and it didn't pay what I would call a living wage. It did give me pocket money. It did teach me a lot of skills to be employed, and it ultimately allowed me to pay for my own education.
There is a shortage of people to fill high paying jobs and that's why automation is trending in manufacturing. Don't blame the automation, blame society.
