I remember back in 2020 when I first started making stickers, I included a listing and used the title ‘ghibli inspired sticker sheet’ for Etsy’s SEO purposes. My listing later got taken down due to the risk of copyright and got a warning email for it. The sticker sheet itself had 1 pink squishmallow cutesy looking totoro which I drew on procreate. In my defence, it hardly looked the way ghibli-inspired images look today, so I was irritated by the warning I got from Etsy
Nowww it’s very rich that Etsy allows for ai imaging on their platform today and that they have no idea if the images are 1:1 produced with copyrighted prompts. I wonder how awful the platform would look once the verdict comes from Universal/ Disney vs Mid journey
