But he is measuring "self awareness" according to his own , limited, understanding. Are animals self aware? Do they have consciousness? We don't understand them but it doesn't mean they're not self aware... AI Agents have to be trained, so they won't actually feel emotions, they can see trends of how humans typically react and thus, adopt a similar response.
