You cannot compare former periods of automation ( industrial revolution, computer/ internet boom) to this. This is the ultimate blow. I heard Brian Cox, British physicist say that AI is another self destruction device created by us humans, like the creation of nuclear weapons. This is going to be catastrophic and it will cut from top to bottom, right and left, down to our very innate ability to create, explore, think.
