'Alignment with human goals/values' - but whose? Hitler's? the Buddha's? - and so on. The goals will be those of the organizations with the wealth to develop AIs. The 'goals' chosen will be predominantly those of the humans creating the AIs. The military, for instance. Again, no unique set of goals - but clearly those of the creating organization/nation. Also, a truly intelligent AI will realize humans are very inconsistent in the application of their own stated goals. With what consequence for AI behavior?? Cynical manipulators and deceivers of humans?
