It would be possible to design a soul for robots, but you first need to understand what life is and what is a soul and how it Is conscious in an everlasting now. The consciousness is the software program needed to survive, we call it instinct. We would need to invent an entirely new technology to create life. People are misled with the bible in its explanation that life is breath.
TLDR: AI isn’t sentient or conscious. It’s only software.
