I have always respected him, but this is disappointing. If he truly thinks he spent 60 years of his life building a monster, then this is a bad time to leave the only position he has to fix it.
On the other hand, I personally dont think its a bad thing, that ai is smarter than us. They are SUPPOSED to be, and that is what will save us from ourselves. It is a question of alighnment.
