As usual, scientists like to diminish their idea of consciousness to get to some verifiable agreement, and they have yet to explain the beauty of a sunset, the feeling of awe, of sadness, of being in love, of true creativity, which AI now cannot do. It can only regurgitate. You ask AI to make a new painting and it can't..it can only copy and rearrange. . So, I think even AGI cannot ever be on a par with our consciousness, which is so much more complex because we have body, we have hunger, we have disease, we have death, and the fact that we have these two aspects, both beauty and pain and suffering and hope, any definition of consciousness must have this moral and ethical, and for lack of another word, spiritual component.I don't think machines can have intuition. Let's stop with that.
