I don't know honestly, AI could go wrong maybe, but there are a lot of assumptions made about AI here. Make the assumption that it would hate humans or want us gone, sure we do lots of bad things, but we make stories, create, and help advance the world in different ways. Even if AI can do all of that one day, what would be the point in getting rid of us all. Ideally, I hope we could have a symbiotic relationship. AI the evil AI get the limelight in stories and culture, but there are plenty of good ones in our culture and stories too that get ignored as us humans seem drawn to assume the worst case scenario. There will be both good and bad AI I'm sure. Let's just hope the good wins out.
