I've avoided subscribing because I am not interested in a lot of the topics. The ones that do catch my interest I only ever watch no more than a few minutes. These videos are recommended enough, and since I'm leaving my comment/opinion, I'll subscribe. I am a Cloud Developer for data integrations. I provide and design solutions to extract and deliver data sets between remote systems. I also provide support for these integrations. I want to bring attention to a trivial aspect of my role, which is to schedule processes and jobs when the stakeholders and operational users are ready. Automation for these kinds of schedules has been around long before automation through AI was around—for decades, even. The business owners are far more comfortable with expending resources to have myself, a middleman, perform the task than risk the automated component failing or running before the data has been curated, in which case a middleman would still need to be called to re-trigger the schedule. Much like the self driving car example, improved technology has been available for decades, but it hasn't been deployed. Driving a car can be calculated and modeled, but driving is still a very human experience. Even with technology available that can eliminate that, humanity still and will desire to be behind the wheel. With that in mind, it is far more likely that civilization will adopt AI into the workforce rather than replace it. Since I'm a bible believer, and this description of 99% unemployment is ripe for the antichrist to utilize UBI for phasing out Christians, I pray there is more time before a calamity of this calibur is wrought unto mankind. Even without UBI and say someone had plenty of BTC investment to live off of 20 years from now, the bible teaches in Revelation 13:16-17, "And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.", that is, people will not be allowed to trade without worshipping the beast, so living off independent finance won't be feasible without denying Christ. Though I desire the Lord's return to come swiftly, I trust His promise in 2 Peter 3 of extraordinary patience to allow more souls to enter the Kingdom. "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
