'AI is inevitable'
Yea, and it's also boring. That's why most people get turned off whenever there is a mere mention of its usage in something. People played around with it at first because it was a novelty, but it's kinda fallen from favor with the general public with only a few people still defending it. Novelty never really lasts long after all. And sure, generating AI stuff with prompts and stuff might have seemed a convenience at first and might've been fun too, but since it doesn't take much effort(only the first people had to figure out prompts, others can just copy them and get their own thing with some minor changes), it doesn't have the satisfaction of making something with your own hands, neither does it have the thrill of owning something original that someone made. I personally feel that even hyperrealism art is more exciting than AI images. At least in those, I can appreciate the effort put in, the attention to detail, and even get wow'd at how someone can make a drawing look like a real thing even though the art itself might not always excite me as much, but it always looks cool especially because I know there's a person behind it.
AI generated stuff is sort of like a product. Like a bag of chips or crisps(whatever you call it) that you can get from any street-side stall, something to munch on when you're have nothing better to eat. But even the laziest art(or writing or any creative endeavor) is like a cooked meal, might be the same chips, but since it's not made in a factory machine and had been prepared by someone with emotions and stuff, they add their own flair into it(like homemade fries where you add some chilli flakes and stuff and accidentally overdo it, or like a McDonald employee adding their own spit on a burger patty) which is always more exiting(you might like the taste or get angry and throw away the burger and sue the burger, creating a lot more exciting human interactions). Instead, AI images are things that you glance at, don't feel anything, then skip to the next, or just skip the entire thing since you saw the word AI somewhere.
Yeah, AI is probably inevitable, and as it is, since the technology is already here it will probably continue to exist, but since it can't do its own original thing, it'll probably just become a sort of annoying background noise where most people will continue to ignore it.
