I appreciate the stance of AI art being (in many cases) some form of "theft". But that doesn't really speak for everyone, as it's heavily dependent on an individual's workflow, and/or the model they are using. This stance only makes sense if you isolate a certain, lazier, contingent of those using these tools. On the "inevitable" front though, it simply is, and nothing you stated suggests otherwise. It's true that AI exists in a bubble, and eventually that bubble will pop. That does not mean that it suddenly becomes less profitable to hire 1 person spinning a few plates using AI tools, over a team of artists/animators/writers/whatever. Bare in mind, even if all the big AI companies suddenly stopped dead, much of this tech is open-source and can be run on consumer grade systems. I'm no "stan", but I am speaking the obvious truth. And so many anti-AI videos simply don't differentiate between use cases, or otherwise don't consider the audience, or the trajectory of the tech. Coz not everyone is simply saying "ok Mr. Computer, show me a pretty anime girl with big boobs plz" and using data from nonconsenting artists - some are spinning a dozen plates, augmenting elements with AI, and using royalty free assets, or their own. As far as the audience goes, most people just don't care about the process, so if the product is good, they will consume. Atm, a massive pitfall with AI is the "AI look", simply because we can recognize the medium and that's immersion breaking. Give it 5 years, and see how immersion breaking it is then, and see just how willing production companies are to hire 12 over 1.
