As a wheelchair user (with mobility issues and permanent nerve damage), AND as an artist- the day I stop being able to use my hands is the day I give up on art. If I can no longer create, and my only way to do so is by using a generative tool that steals from OTHER artists, then i will simply no longer create. Its like hearing from somebody who doesn't need a wheelchair "but what about OTHER wheelchair users? Don't THEY need a wheelchair made by stealing thousands of other wheelchairs and slapping it together in some weird freakish Frankenstein's monster of a thing that doesn't even roll?" The answer is always, resoundingly, no. The joy of art is the creation of it. You're not an artist if you dont go through the entire process, since that's what art is. A process where you pour a little bit of yourself and your heart into the thing you create. Art is the joy of creation. Also wheelchairs are necessary, Ai slop is not.
